Herpetology is the field in biology that specializes in the study of amphibians and reptiles. Sanctuary has its own herpetologist right in the community, and Zack West has agreed to share his knowledge about animals in the Sanctuary.
This snake was recently seen in The Sanctuary. It is a non-venomous hog-nose snake. The snake hissed and puffed up its neck like a cobra. When I didn't leave, it turned over and played dead. It makes quite a display of aggression and will frighten most who come across it. A neighbor in Sanctuary on Sea Rider Way
